In some rotary applications the standard oil seal is not adequate. This may be because the temperature is too high, the medium is too aggressive, or because there is pressure on the seal. PTFE lip seals are a good alternative for these applications. Thanks to the PTFE seal lip, these seals can be exposed to pressures of up to 10 bar and temperatures of up to +200˚C as standard. Moreover, they are also available in special versions for up to 25 bar or versions suitable for dry running applications.
