ULTRA-LIGHTWEIGHT ADVANCED CUT PROTECTION WITH THE WORLDS’ STRONGEST FIBRE
THORMASAFE Diamond Cut Glove series with patented Dyneema® Diamond Technology addresses the limitations of current steel and glass fiber cut resistant protection with a more comfortable, durable and safer design that delivers long term cost savings. The assortment offers gloves with the highest rated abrasion and tear resistance according to the EN388:2016 for unparalleled protection.
Dyneema® Diamond Technology adds micro-particles within very thin pliable fibres which are then further enhanced with a unique polymer that provides high strength, maximum durability and cool-touch comfort by radiating heat away from the hand. Knitted together, these fibres create structural integrity in an extraordinarily strong, thin and ultra-light weight material.
With Dyneema® Diamond Technology, THORMASAFE is able to develop ultra-lightweight gloves that offer the same level of cut resistance as thicker and heavier gloves made from aramid, HMPE or commodity fibres such as nylon. All THORMASAFE Diamond Cut gloves are made using this innovative fabric, are glass fibre free and complies with the EN388:2016 standards.
THORMASAFE DIAMOND CUT vs GLASS FIBRE GLOVES
Glass fiber is often used in gloves to achieve high levels of cut resistance. However glass has one major disadvantage - it is
very brittle and therefore the yarn breaks easily - which reduces the level of safety and comfort.
THORMAS Diamond Cut gloves
containing Dyneema® Diamond Technology provide consistent high cut resistance without the discomfort of glass.
THORMASAFE MAKES UNDERSTANDING THE NEW EN388:2016 EASIER BY USING COLOUR-CODED CUT LEVEL INDICATORS ON ALL DIAMOND CUT GLOVES
COST SAVINGS
- Much longer lifespan and higher level of performance than alternatives.
- Sustainability - more resistant to damage so they are replaced less often and leads to savings on glove purchase costs.
- Excellent dirt masking properties and washable.
- Exceptional comfort promotes active usage and in turn reduces injuries and injury leave days.
WHICH COATING IS BEST FOR YOU?
NITRILE COATING
Remarkably flexible and breathable with a high level of grip, dexterity and durability
Foamed nitrile coating soaks up surface oil and displaces it to improve grip
Excellent punctures and tear resistance (3x more than rubber)
Protection against snags, cuts and abrasions
Stands up well to chemicals and oil
Non-allergenic properties
Perform well in a range of temperatures between -4°C (25°F) and 149°C (300°F), however it is not flame-resistant
PU COATING
Inexpensive coating option
Great stretch and flexibility – great dexterity, softness and strength
Unique “grippy” quality without being sticky
Abrasion resistance and protect against minor cuts and scrapes
Low-particulate shed – reduce risk of contamination
Poor resistance to hot water and is not recommended for use above 79°C (175°F)
UNCOATED
Designed for touchscreen applications
Breathable - radiates heat away from hands, keeping hands cooler than coated gloves
